Number Wheel — questions people ask
What ranges can I use on the number wheel?
Any range you like. Use the quick-range buttons (1–6, 1–10, 1–20, 1–50, 1–100) for instant presets, or enter a custom minimum and maximum and click Load range. You can also type individual numbers into the entries panel for non-sequential lists.
Can I use the number wheel as a dice?
Yes. Load the 1–6 preset for a standard six-sided die. For tabletop RPG dice, set the custom range to 1–4, 1–8, 1–10, 1–12, or 1–20 and click Load range.
Is each number equally likely to be selected?
Yes, by default. Every number gets an identical slice of the wheel and the pick is made with the browser’s cryptographic random number generator. If you want to skew the odds, raise a number’s weight in the entries panel — its slice grows to match, so the change is visible rather than hidden.
Can I add decimal or negative numbers?
Yes. Type any value into the entries panel — decimals, negatives, and mixed lists all work. The wheel treats each entry as a label, so anything you can type is valid.
How many numbers can I add to the wheel?
There is no hard limit, and the 1–100 preset loads a hundred in one click. Large ranges do produce very thin segments: labels are hidden automatically once a slice is too narrow to read, and the winner is still announced in full in the popup and the Results tab.
