Linked Wheels

Chain wheels together so one spin leads into the next. A later wheel can change its entries based on what the wheel before it landed on — pick a subject, and the topic wheel only offers topics from that subject.

A random name picker wheel. Add names to the entry list, then press the Spin button or press Space or Enter while this wheel is focused to pick a random winner. The winner is selected using cryptographically secure randomness before the animation begins.

      How linking works

Each wheel in a chain spins in order, and the result of one is carried into the next. A wheel can either always offer the same entries, or offer different entries depending on what came before it — that second case is what makes a chain different from spinning two wheels by hand.

Every spin uses the same picker as the single wheel: the winner is chosen with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator before the animation starts, and the wheel then rotates to a result that has already been decided.

Chains and their history are stored in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded, so a chain does not follow you to another device — use Share to move one, or CSV to keep a record of what was drawn.
