Upload several pictures and let an image picker wheel choose one at random. Add PNG, JPEG, or WebP files from your device, then spin a visual wheel whose slices show the actual photos. It is useful for photo contests, classroom prompts, product choices, character picks, moodboards, and any decision that is easier to see than describe. No account or image hosting is required.

How the random image picker works

The image picker wheel turns pictures from your device into selectable wheel entries. Click Images in the entries panel, choose multiple PNG, JPEG, or WebP files, and the browser creates a compact square thumbnail for each one. It also turns each filename into a readable label, which you can edit without disconnecting the picture. Once the uploads are ready, every image appears inside its own slice. Press SPIN and the wheel selects from those entries using the same probability rules as the text-based picker. Equal weights mean equal chances; changing an entry weight makes that image proportionally more or less likely and changes the visible slice size. The winning picture is shown with its label after the spin. You can combine images and text, remove entries, reorder the list, assign custom colours, or use Auto-remove Winner when each picture should be selected only once. A separately uploaded center image is decorative and never joins the draw. Image preparation happens on the device, and the working wheel stays in local browser storage by default. This makes the tool useful for classroom visual prompts, photo competitions, product shortlists, design reviews, game-character picks, and group decisions where recognising an option matters more than reading its name.

How to Use the Image Picker Wheel

  1. 1

    Upload your pictures

Click Images beside the name-entry field and choose several PNG, JPEG, or WebP files from your phone or computer. Each accepted file becomes one wheel entry automatically.

  2. 2

    Review labels and odds

The filename becomes the readable label for its picture. Rename entries, remove anything you do not need, or change a weight when one image should be more likely than another.

  3. 3

    Spin for an image

Press SPIN. The wheel uses the same random selection as a text wheel, lands on one picture, and shows that image with its label in the result.

Ways to use a wheel spinner with images

📸 Photo contests

Upload the finalists and spin live to select a random photo. Every equal-weight image has the same chance, and the audience can see the chosen picture immediately.

🎨 Moodboards and design reviews

Add logos, colour directions, layouts, or reference images when a creative team needs a quick prompt or a neutral way to choose what to review next.

🛍️ Product choices

Use product photos instead of long model names so customers or teammates can recognise every option before the wheel stops.

🏫 Visual classroom prompts

Upload animals, landmarks, objects, vocabulary cards, or student artwork and spin for the next discussion, writing exercise, or presentation prompt.

🎮 Characters and game items

Build a visual picker from character portraits, maps, loadouts, or challenge cards and let the wheel set the next round.

🍽️ Food and travel decisions

A picture can settle “where should we go?” faster than a label. Add restaurant dishes, destinations, or activity photos and spin together.

Image Picker Wheel — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add multiple images to the wheel?

Click the Images button beside the entry field, select all the pictures you want in your device picker, and confirm. The files are processed in order and added as separate wheel entries, so you do not need to upload them one at a time.

Which image formats can I upload?

The image wheel accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP files. A source file can be up to 10 MB. The browser prepares a compact square thumbnail for the slice, which keeps the wheel responsive and gives differently shaped photos a consistent crop.

Does the wheel choose pictures fairly?

Yes. Uploaded pictures are ordinary wheel entries, so equal weights give every picture the same selection chance. The image is presentation only; it does not influence the result. You can deliberately change the weights if you need different odds.

Can I mix pictures and text on the same wheel?

Yes. Add text with the name field and pictures with the Images button in any order. Image entries retain a text label for results, accessibility, exports, and situations where a thumbnail cannot be displayed.

Are my uploaded photos sent to a server?

No. Image preparation and spinning happen in your browser, and the working wheel is stored locally on your device by default. Only use sharing or embedding when you intentionally want to package the wheel for someone else.

Can I rename an uploaded image?

Yes. The wheel creates a label from the filename without its extension. Edit that label in the entries list or in Bulk Edit; changing the text does not remove the picture attached to the entry.

Is a center image the same as an image entry?

No. Image entries belong to slices and can be selected. A center image is decorative, such as a logo, and never affects the result. Add or replace the center image from the wheel Options panel.

Does the picture wheel work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Open the entries panel, tap Images, and choose pictures from the device picker or photo library. The wheel scales to the available screen and uses the same selection logic as it does on desktop.

About the Image Picker Wheel

The Image Picker Wheel is a visual version of TheNameWheel. Instead of relying on text alone, each entry can carry a picture that is drawn inside its slice and shown again when it wins. The file name remains as a readable fallback, and text-only entries can sit beside image entries on the same wheel.

Pictures are prepared locally in the browser as compact square thumbnails. Equal-weight entries have equal odds, while optional weights let you create a deliberate probability split. A separate center-image control can add a logo without turning that logo into a selectable result.
